Neptune Papers (Pvt.) Ltd. runs an environmentally-friendly business of shredding and recycling waste paper. The company was incorporated in 1993 and is the No.1 waste paper exporter in Sri Lanka. We provide an important shredding service to banks and other institutions for the secure shredding of their confidential documents, free of charge, in the presence of their officials. The products are then baled using automatic machinery using state-of-the-art-technologies. The bales of shredded papers are then exported for recycling purposes.
The eco-friendly nature of Neptune Paper's business means that through recycling, waste paper is put back into the economic cycle instead of being dumped, thereby reducing waste and saving trees. The sustainability of this project is also illustrated by the fact that it has created 150 or so jobs in the community.
